Mustard Seed Jersey Prayer Update August & September 2018

August 26th 2018

Now is the time of year when many of the Romanian social workers are on their well deserved holidays. Many offices shut for August and sometimes July. Schools start again mid September.

Mustard Seed Romania :There have been disappointingly few bookings for the new Casa Rabi holiday camp. Please pray for wisdom and discernment that those involved will make wise decisions and choices. We give thanks for Alex and Rody and ask Godís blessing on them and their family.

AVS : We give thanks for the dedication and commitment of Nelu and Cristina in assisting the poorest of the poor; we ask Godís blessing on them, for real refreshment during their holiday.

Vineyard : We pray for Vasile and Florina who head up the work at Vineyard. We pray that God will guide and provide the people and resources for their kindergarten and pensioner outreach programme.

ADPB : We give thanks for Tudor and Violeta and for their dedication to providing good and dignified care for the vulnerable elderly. We pray for wisdom in handling difficulties and wise use of resources.

Agape :We pray for Corey and Diana who head up the Beauty for Ashes Centre for young women who have been through the state orphanage system. We pray for their family, especially Dianaís parents who do so much. We pray for the young women on their programme.

Kathy Langston : We pray for the volunteers who have taken on the visiting at the homes for young people with special needs.

In Jersey

We give thanks that we now have someone to prepare the financial statements for us and ask Godís blessing on all who help now and have helped in the past.

Please continue to pray that we will be able to set up a working collaboration with a suitable charity or group in the EU; this should make the sending of relief aid to Romania easier.

We ask for your prayers that all will go smoothly for our next aid consignment scheduled for later in September. With the present system we use it is quite a logistical challenge to get the loading done well in a short space of time.

We give thanks that we have premises for the Christmas shoebox appeal, and ask for your prayers that all preparations, etc goes smoothly.

Please continue to bless us with your prayers for we believe Prayer Changes Things
