Morning thought 5
This is morning
thought for Friday, April 23
Good morning as you know this is pre-recorded but hopefully what I am
going to share with you will be proved correct. All going well our spring
relief aid consignment should have already arrived in Romania by now and should
be unloaded today, almost certainly this morning starting in a couple of hours.
It will be about 10 or 11 tons of humanitarian aid consisting of clothing
bedding footwear toiletries food and other items including the boxes that some
of the sponsors have packed for their sponsored pensioners.
Each humanitarian aid consignment involves a tremendous amount of time,
generosity and skill. It often starts with people throwing out good stuff that
they no longer need. In fact the bulk of the 10 tonnes that will be unloaded
this morning God willing is what people were discarding and throwing away. I
guess that really is recycling, but it starts with someone throwing out and
then giving away.
Several thousand years ago in the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible the
teacher wrote there is a time for everything and a season for every activity
under the heavens
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to tear down a time to build,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
the time to be silent and a time to speak up.
What time is it for you today? Is it a time to sort and throw out some
things? Is it a time to be silent? Or it is a time to speak out? Whatever time
it is for you today I hope and pray you will make the right choices.
