MUSTARD SEED JERSEY PRAYER UPDATE JANUARY 2015

We give thanks for our CHRISTMAS  AID TRIP

« for the joy the Christmas shoeboxes brought to young and old

« for the funds raised to buy bread, food and firewood which should last throughout the winter months for the poorest of the poor (we pray we can fund a further smaller load of firewood next month)

« for the success of our appeal for a family living in a shed – we pray for NELU and CRISTINA for wisdom as they deal with the logistics of arranging the new accommodation for several families and for favour with the neighbours.

As always it was hugely encouraging to see the good, faithful and often sacrificial work that the social workers are doing. But we realise we need to uphold them in our prayers for wisdom and guidance and for the love and motivation to continue.

This month we focus our prayers on the various aspects of work with YOUNG PEOPLE that we are involved in:

§  MUSTARD SEED ROMANIA has 2 homework clubs and 1 kindergarten in Cefa . Pray for IOANA the administrator, MARIANA the kindergarten teacher, ALEX (with over-all responsibility for all the projects) asks for prayer for WISDOM.

§  F.I. run one homework club and a youth club for up to 50 disadvantaged children in the city of Oradea. Pray for NELU & CRISTINA and their various helpers; pray the Lord will supply their needs.

§  VINEYARD have a Christian kindergarten – pray for their work there. Continue to pray for KEN to recover from his stroke, and for FLORENCE, VASILE and FLORINA as they have extra responsibilities.

§  AGAPE work with young people who have left the orphanage system. Pray for them for guidance, that they will hear what the Lord is saying and where He is leading.

§  KATHY LANGSTON continues to support homes for young people with special needs. Pray for Kathy’s continued healing.

§  EL SADIA also work with young people who have left the orphanage system – no known prayer needs at time of printing this.

IN JERSEY

Ø  We give thanks for the faithful helpers we have and ask the Lord to send some more so that the burden can be shared – especially for loading.

Ø  We ask for prayer for guidance and wisdom about the logistics of loading some valuable medical equipment onto our spring aid consignment.

Ø  We ask the Lord to give good health and healing to our many volunteers.

Ø  Rose (that’s me) would value prayer for WISDOM to know how to use limited resources wisely and to discern where the Lord is leading in various projects.

Please continue to bless us with your prayer support

Yours in Christ

Rose
