Morning Thought 3
Wednesday day May 6th 2015
Pace (pronounced as
with a ch rather than c in English) – that is a
greeting I often hear in churches in Romania. It means Peace.
There are many things that inspire me to continue the
work of Mustard Seed Jersey but nothing more than the evidence that we are
making a real difference for good in people’s lives. Often I get excited at how
we are able to help at just the right time, in just the right way, and I do
believe that God helps us get the timing right. Often we will pray for guidance
about how best to use the resources entrusted to us.
Let me share with you a report sent earlier this year from
social workers in Romania about how much the help meant to one family.
They wrote:
The Varga family struggle but
are always smiling and grateful. The father is the only one bringing in money
as the mother has serious health problems. Thanks to the help you sent they have a brand new
stove in their house. The old stove was so old and did not heat the house, no
matter much firewood they burned. But the new stove heats the house very well.
What is remarkable is that at just the right time the
Jersey sponsor sent an extra donation, and amazingly it was just the right
amount to buy the new stove.
You might say it was a lucky co-incidence, but I believe
that God prompted the sponsor to give that extra money at that time to meet that
need. I have found this sort of co-incidence happens quite often and I believe
it is God’s provision through us.
Pace – have a good day. Receive peace and pass it on.
