Pointers for prayer for
Mustard Seed’s work in Romania:
This month we focus on
our work among children & young people:
With Mustard Seed Romania:
·
Kindergarten at Cefa – most who attend are gypsy many are disadvantaged.
Remember MARIANA the teacher and her assistant. Pray for ALEX & RODY who
have over-all over-sight of this and all Mustard Seed’s children’s work in
Romania.
·
Homework clubs at
Cefa and Ateas – teacher
IOANA at Cefa and another teacher in Ateas.
·
Education
Sponsorship programme at Pagaia to enable able
students to attend high school. Pray especially for LIDIA whose family have
struggled with the very serious illness of her brother BENI – pray too for Beni for a miracle of healing. And pray for ALEXANDRIA
& TOBY.
·
Talented child
ESTERA – has exceptional musical ability, pray for wisdom for her parents to
know the best way to develop her talent.
With FI (Fundatia Increderea)
·
Homework Club –
this has been recently started thank to a donation from Jersey. Pray for the
student teachers and the 12 young people attending. The children receive a
nutritious meal or snack as all are from impoverished family circumstances.
Pray for NELU and CRISTINA (who run FI) for wisdom.

Youth Club –
usually on a Saturday morning run by CRISTINA. We give thank to God for a
donation from Jersey that made possible the repair of the floor of FI’s main
meeting room, making it much pleasanter and safer for the 30 or so Youth Club
children. The children’s gratitude and excitement is humbling and
inspirational as we watch their enthusiasm and acceptance of comparatively poor
conditions and very little apparatus, when we compare to facilities in Jersey
youth clubs.
With Fundatia
Crestina Vineyard:
Vineyard run a English Christian kindergarten, where
we have
assisted with equipment and Christmas shoeboxes.
Other needs in Romania:
Pray for ALEX and RODY as
they consider the possibility of expanding Casa Mabel. (The building of Casa
Mabel was funded by Mustard Seed Jersey and we still provide funding for some
salaries, medical care and some food each month.) Mustard Seed Jersey has
recently been approached for funding to expand – pray the Jersey TRUSTEES will
have WISDOM to know whether the work is sufficiently established and ready for
expansion.
AID TRIP
Our aid consignment is due
to leave at the beginning of May – I plan to send another prayer update with
specific details for your prayers nearer the time. Please pray for finishing
off the LOADING. There have been logistical problems with the authorities
re-surfacing the parking area, which has stopped access for loading. So please
pray all will slot into place for BILL and his team of LOADERS.
VEHICLE
We are looking for a
replacement SMALLER LORRY for us in Jersey for collections and loading (so that
HGV or medium goods licence no longer required). Please pray for wisdom and
guidance.
UKRAINE
Please continue to pray
for Ukraine for wisdom and guidance that right choices will be made. We
understand that many involved in the movement for change are deeply committed
Christians who want God’s best for their country.
