Mustard Seed Jersey Prayer Update February 2013

February 10th 2013

VISIT OF ALEX AND RODY TO JERSEY

We give thanks for the very successful visit of Alex and Rody, who were well received wherever they went and as a result we have some exciting possible offers of help. So please pray that if people were moved to respond they will respond according to God's plans and purposes.

When asked in a church service if they had any specific prayer requests, Rody's response was that God would like them wisdom and guide them. Within 15 hours of returning to Romania, they were faced with a difficult situation which requires great wisdom to resolve.

Within the last few days there have been some changes of personnel at Casa Mabel ( our pensioners' home ) in Cefa.

Please pray for God's blessing on these people in all areas of their lives and give thanks for their faithfulness and compassion:

Ø  ADELA - carer at Casa Mabel

Ø  MARIANA - Mustard Seed's kindergarten teacher and housework club leader. She is the wife of Nelu

Ø  VICTOR - the site supervisor at Casa Mabel and assistant pastor of the gypsy church at Cefa and Betechiu.

Ø  NELU or JOHN - recently retired as manager and cook at Casa Mabel (Note this is a different Nelu from the Nelu with FI)

Ø  Continue to pray for ALEX and RODY as they continue with the overall responsibility for the various projects of Mustard Seed Romania.

Also in ROMANIA:

v  KATHY LANGSTON - following surgery for cancer she needs re-constructive surgery, pray she will be led to the right surgeon for help. Please pray for healing for her

v  KEN and FLORENCE HOLMES are about to leave Romania for 3 months to visit family and friends in UK and USA. Pray for God's blessing on them as they travel.

v  Pray for VASILE and FLORICA who will be  heading up the Vineyard pensioner programme while they a away.

IN JERSEY:

·         In January we asked for your prayers to find the right new trustee for Mustard Seed Jersey. We give thanks that all were in agreement. Please pray for MICHALA GRAHAM as she takes on this responsibility.

·         Following a tremendous response at our recent aid collection of Holme Grown, we have a backlog of aid to sort and pack. We give thanks for the amazing response. Please pray MORE VOLUNTEERS come forward.

·         At times we are asked to collect (usually) small amounts of aid from people who are house-bound or immobile. Pray we will have collection volunteers in the various areas of the island who will be willing to take on this task.

Please continue to bless us with your prayers.

You will be familiar with the saying "Prayer changes things"; when Alex and Rody were in Jersey they gave me a Romanian plaque which translates as "Prayer changes lives". Please continue to pray for the work of Mustard Seed knowing your prayers change things and lives in line with God's plans and purposes.

In His service

Rose
