Mustard Seed Jersey Prayer Update February 2nd 2012
Dear Friends
First and foremost can I ask for your prayers for KATHY in Romania who
is due to have a second operation for cancer tomorrow Friday Feb 3rd. Kathy is
very calm and confident this is in God's hands - please pray for skill for the
surgeon and medical team and for God's healing for Kathy. Please also remember
her adopted daughter CODI and ANDREA pray this disruption will not unduly
affect their school work, etc.
Also in Romania please remember ALEX and RODY as they head up the work
of Mustard Seed Romania - pray for wisdom and guidance in decisions they need
to make. Give thanks for God's provision in countless ways. Pray for the
different projects: Casa Mabel (pensioners home), kindergarten, homework club,
high school sponsorship support, pensioners and family support programme in the
community, medical programmes, aid distribution, young people's support, etc.
Remember Rody in your prayers as they expect their
3rd child in April
Also in Romania please remember the work of FI with NELU and CRISTINA. GIve thanks for God's provision for the bread distribution
programme, tea and sandwiches to the homeless, pensioner support programme,
youth club and other outreaches. Pray Nelu's health
will be good and for total healing from the hepatitis.
Also in Romania Please pray for SIMONA working with repatriated victims
of people trafficking. We give thanks for the amount of money we were able to
send to her to purchase food and provide medical help for the victims. Simona wrote Most of them said that nobody has ever
given them any help and the food that we have bought is a great help to them . Please remember Simona in your prayers as her
work is emotionally draining. Pray God will continue to provide the funding
that the outreach of food and medical assistance can continue to these victims.
Also in Romania please remember KEN and FLORENCE
also VASILE and FLORINA from Vineyard, for wisdom and the
continued provision of resources needed for their kindergarten and pensioner
outreach programmes.
Also in Romania please remember ANDREEA and the work of Agape, pray for
the provision of the resources they need, as there is a
shortfall at the moment. This is an outreach to orphaned
young people who have been through the orphanage system but are unable to cope
alone. Agape provide educational support and at
times employment making cards; their aim is for the young people to become
fully independent. [They have assisted some of the same young people we have
been involved with over the years, which is how we
initially met them].
In Jersey we give thanks for the monies raised especially by Beaulieu
and Victoria College which has enabled us to bless a number of Romanian
projects financially since December. Please pray that we have sufficient
funding to meet the needs in the coming years.
We give thanks for the various
VOLUNTEERS who pack and load and transport.
Looking ahead to our next aid trip scheduled for the end of March,
please remember GRAEME MICHEL and DAVID VASSELIN as they prepare for this trip.
Please continue to bless Mustard Seed Jersey with your prayers. Psalm
127 says "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in
vain" and I believe that principle applies to Mustard Seed, it is
only when we are in the centre of God's will that we can achieve anything of
lasting value, so please pray for God's blessing of discernment and then favour
on all our plans.
God bless you
Rose
