Mustard
Seed Jersey Prayer Update July 2026
Dear Prayer
Supporters
This prayer update arrives later
than intended, but possibly it is very timely as the AVS camp in Romania
(funded by donations from Jersey) starts today (27/07/26) and continues all
week. The 50+ children and young people attending are all vulnerable and
virtually all have experienced loss often the death of a parent.
Last year Nelu and Cristina ran a similar camp and were very
encouraged at how God worked in the young people who attended with many
families contacting Nelu to say the child or young person changed for the
better after the camp. In a loving environment surrounded by much prayerfulness
the young people were encouraged to face their grief and move on with God’s
help.
Dave one of the Mustard Seed trustees has gone over to attend
and help at the camp – do pray for him and all the helpers. Nelu has very much
asked that you will remember this camp in your prayers, not just now but please
follow the young people back to their homes and families with your prayer support.
Looking back to Nelu’s visit in
April (mentioned in the last prayer update) this worked out very well. Nelu was
overjoyed at the generosity of people who gave which meant not only that the
camp happening now is possible but that 5 families without light were able to
have a solar panel and their charity received a much longed for tent. And the
people in Jersey who had the opportunity to meet and hear him were all
encouraged and stimulated to continue their volunteering work and giving.
Please
remember to pray blessing and strength for the various social workers and
volunteers we work with:
·
In
Romania we have already mentioned NELU and CRISTINA of the AVS trust and their various
helpers
·
In
Romania we pray
for ALEX who as well as heading up the MSR trust arranges all documents for our
aid consignments and liaises with the trust in Ukraine making it possible for
us to send aid to that country.
·
In
Ukraine we pray for SORIN, for TUDOR, for GABI and many other
who work as volunteers to assist the refugees and also support some in the war
zone.
In JERSEY a
number of our volunteers are experiencing various health issues and bereavement
and loss. Please pray for God’s healing and strengthening and comfort.
Pray God
brings along fresh volunteers, as none of us are getting any younger!
Please
continue to bless us and our work with your prayers
Yours in
Christ
Rose
